چکیده

Water-based flow assurance issues include corrosion, scale, and gas hydrate formation. Chemical solutions to mitigate these usually require separate inhibitors, which sometimes can lead compatibility difficulties. Herein, we report studies on maleic-based copolymers combat corrosion with a view optimizing for scale inhibition also. The product of maleic anhydride:N-vinyl caprolactam copolymer reacted 3-dibutylaminopropylamine (MA:VCap-DBAPA) its amine oxide derivative (MA:VCap-DBAPA-AO) were the kinetic inhibitor (KHI) polymers investigated. Due limited CO2 (CI) by alone, various oxygen-, sulfur-, nitrogen-based additives screened improved CI possible KHI synergy. performance screening tests conducted under high pressure structure II-forming natural mixture in steel rocking cells using slow (1 °C/h) constant cooling method. was measured linear polarization resistance stirred 1 L bubble test apparatus C1018 coupons 3.6 wt % brine at 20.5 °C. Several sulfur-based efficiency polymers, especially butyl thioglycolate 2-aminoethanethiol, without negative effect performance. For example, 2500 ppm MA:VCap-DBAPA plus 1000 gave an average onset temperature (To) 4.4 °C (12.7 below To no additive) 99.7% efficiency. In contrast classic fatty acid imidazoline surfactant inhibitor, also found greatly enhance industrial KHIs, poly(N-vinyl caprolactam) (PVCap) N-vinyl pyrrolidone:N-vinyl copolymer, antagonism polymer. addition, boosted PVCap. use small synergists such as avoids classical inhibitors tighter emulsions poor overboard oil-in-water quality.

Separator Membrane from Crosslinked Poly(Vinyl Alcohol) and Poly(Methyl Vinyl Ether-alt-Maleic Anhydride)

In this work, we report separator membranes from crosslinking of two polymers, such as poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) with an ionic polymer poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) (PMVE-MA). Such interpolymer-networked systems were extensively used for biomedical and desalination applications but they were not examined for their potential use as membranes or separators for batteries. Therefore,...

Recent developments in maleic acid synthesis from bio-based chemicals

This review paper presents the current state of the art on maleic acid synthesis from biomass-derived chemicals over homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysts. It is based on the most recent publications on the topic, which are discussed in details with respect to the observed catalytic performances. The recent developments and the technical drawbacks in the gas and the liquid phases are also repo...

Stimuli Responsive Poly(Vinyl Caprolactam) Gels for Biomedical Applications

Poly(vinyl caprolactam) (PNVCL) is one of the most important thermoresponsive polymers because it is similar to poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide). PNVCL precipitates from aqueous solutions in a physiological temperature range (32–34 ̋C). The use of PNVCL instead of PNIPAM is considered advantageous because of the assumed lower toxicity of PNVCL. PNVCL copolymer gels are sensitive to external stimuli...
